Taipei Medical University offers the TMU Elite Short-Term Exchange Program 2024, a fully funded opportunity to study at a leading medical institution. During this 5-month program, students will experience life in Taipei City, study with professionals and international peers, and learn from renowned doctors and professors through specialized healthcare courses.

TMU’s 2024 program offers a 6-hour weekly Mandarin course, a monthly 6-hour medical course, and a 3-month academic research project combining theory and hands-on practice. Running from September 2024 to January 2025, shortlisted candidates will undergo an interview before selection.

TMU offers multiple courses related to medical fields including Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nutrition, Anatomy, Nursing, Public Health, TCM, Long Term Care, and Digital Health. There will be an off-campus program where students will visit a Pharmaceutical Factory, Medical Institutions, VIP Wards, a Laboratory, a Medical Simulation Education Centre, and a VR Experience space. During this international research program, students will be taught the Chinese language which will help them to learn a new language.

This fully funded short-term exchange program covers course fees, round-trip airfare, accommodation, and a monthly stipend of NTD 8,000. Eligibility Criteria

Applicants applying should:

  • Be a citizen of one of these countries which include Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Australia, or New Zealand.
  • having a background in biological science, healthcare, laboratory work, data analysis, or any other field related to medicine.
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree or can be in sophomore, junior, senior year or above this.
  • Have proof that they have a minimum amount of $1000.
  • Have not received any financial help/scholarship from the Government or any other educational institutions of Taiwan previously.
