Scholarship Description: The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University is inviting applicants for its PhD research project focus on the synthesis of new monomers and polyesters from renewable chemical building blocks. The research carried out at LTH is of a high international standard and we are continuously developing our teaching methods and adapting our courses to current needs.
Purpose of Scholarship: The main goal is to explore new synthetic strategies and new knowledge concerning how these materials should be molecularly tailored in order to be qualified for various industrial applications where plastics from fossil resources are used today.

Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must have MSc degrees in chemistry with a specialization towards, e.g., polymer, materials or organic chemistry.
