The Jefferson Fellowships 2024 program offers a unique opportunity to dive deep into the complex security and economic environments of East Asia. This year’s theme, “Partnerships, Postures, and Perils: Assessing East Asia Security and Economic Environments,” promises an enriching experience for aspiring journalists.

Eligibility
To apply, you must:
- Be a working print, broadcast, or online journalist from the US or an eligible Asia Pacific country/territory.
- Have at least 5 years of professional journalism experience.

- Letter of Interest: A maximum of 3 pages, double-spaced, detailing your news organization, job duties, relevant issues you want to explore, and the benefits you expect from the fellowship.
- Résumé or CV: A maximum of 2 pages.
- Employer’s Statement of Support: A letter from your supervisor/employer indicating support for your participation (not required for freelance journalists).
- Two Professional References: Letters of recommendation from two professional references.
