Nova Scotia Graduate Scholarship

The Master’s level award is valued at $10,000/year for 2 years (subject to annual renewal).
Doctoral level awards are valued at $15,000/year for 4 years (subject to annual renewal).

Killam Predoctoral Scholarships

Master’s (Level 1): Up to $42,000 per year for up to two years, plus $2,500 toward international tuition fees and relocation allowance, if applicable

How to Apply for Dalhousie University Scholarships?

To apply for Dalhousie University Scholarships, please adhere to the following steps.

(1) Access the FGS Scholarship Management Platform by logging in. If you possess a Dalhousie NetID, kindly choose the option “Use Dalhousie NetID” to authenticate your login. If you do not have an email address and password, please provide one now. Creating a single account is sufficient, even if you plan to apply for many possibilities.

(2) Generate a fresh scholarship application or modify an existing one by choosing from the “My applications” list on your home page. Each applicant is limited to submitting just one application every competition for the Harmonised Scholarship. Therefore, please refrain from submitting duplicate applications.

(3) Master’s applicants who have submitted their applications for the Tri-Agency CGS-M competition have the option to voluntarily participate in the Harmonised Scholarship Process by using their CGS-M application. In order to accomplish this, kindly choose “Master’s Level – CGS-M Opt-In” as the submission category and continue with the application process. The Faculty of Graduate Studies will connect your CGS-M application to your opt-in form, which will include reference letters and transcripts that were submitted for the Tri-Agency CGSM competition. After this date, the application platform will no longer accept submissions from applicants and referees. Incomplete applications will not be considered for evaluation. Email or physical copy submissions of reference letters will not be accepted. Applicants are strongly advised to inform their referees about a deadline a few days to one week before January 14, in the event of unanticipated situations or technological problems. Once the reference has been completed, applicants will be notified via email through the portal. Additionally, a red “received” remark will be displayed next to each referee’s name. Note: Please be aware that you have the option to withdraw your application and make modifications until the January 15 deadline. This includes the ability to update your transcripts with your fall grades or make revisions based on comments provided by your department. In order for your application to be considered, you must resubmit it by the January 15th deadline after withdrawing it.
